Made from the most traditional of materials: ebonite, used for fountain pens since the early 1900s; obtained from a mixture of natural rubber and mineral and organic substances, it has gradually been replaced by cheaper and more colourful plastics.
The Aurora 88 ebonite fountain pen combines classic shapes with the antique charm of this striped ebonite, with a deep brown background and yellow veins.
Finishing: yellow gold plated
Nib: 18 Kt gold, available as EF, F, M, B
Filling system: piston, with transparent ink window.
At the cap top, an ebonite half-sphere shows the spiral striation of the material.
