Being 2012 the Chinese year of Dragon, also Visconti created a pen devoted to a dragon, the legendary creature that, in Chinese culture, takes care of cities and is a symbol of good luck. It's usually depicted with a long snake body, four legs, a crocodile-looking head, whiskers, mane and tail, because it represents all the animals on Earth.
The Visconti Dragon pen is made in polished black resin, covered by cut-out vermeil filigree (gold plated sterling silver), enamelled by hand.
A red and orange dragon wraps up the body and cap of the pen, in a triumph of golden scales, curled tails and claws, colored and shining, among pale blue clouds and black background.
The filling system is the famous Double Reservoir Power Filler, patented by Visconti, with a transparent window for ink inspection.
Dreamtouch nib, bicolor, in 23 Kt palladium, available as EF, F, M, B, Stub.
An even more precious version of Dragon, in red resin and solid gold instead of vermeil, has been made in only 38 pieces worldwide.
