MICHELANGELO |
The faceted pen with 36 sides and magnetic closure |
 |
In order to develop this collection, Visconti's designers were inspired by ancient Greece with an extremely elegant shape, as difficult to realize, as much to represent a must of stylographic art.
Thanks to their technicians and to a new technology just set up, they were able to realize a faceted shape composed by 36 sides (within the cap and the barrel), tapered on the two extremities.

Michelangelo is probably the first pen realized with 36 faces that makes it looks like more as a diamond than to a writing object: the value of a diamond, after the weighing in carats, is in fact due to the quality cut and the number of faces.
Just rotate the pen in your hands to realize it!
The central band has a decorative design of a double Greek key, composed by the V of extraordinary elegance of the Visconti brand.
Like the Rembrandt, also the Michelangelo features a magnetic closure.
It is sufficient to post the cap that you will feel the perfect clic, the strain and the security of the magnetic locking system that was further improved.
The classic colors, di tendenza: deep black, with bronze trims; blue/black with palladium trims, very elegant indeed.

The fountain pen is cartridge/converter filled, with 14 Kt gold nib F, M, B.
The classic roller uses classic refills, while the rollergraphic uses the same ink cartridges as the fountain pen.
Matching the Michelangelo, with the same finishing, two new desk inkpots:
- in blue translucent glass, with palladium trims
- in black glass, with bronze trim
Also Michelangelo pens can be personalized with initials on the cap top, with magnetic initials of Visconti's My Pen System.
Personalization is reversible because we'll send you also the original Visconti top disc for future substitution.
Michelangelo 150° Unity of Italy
The same pen, but decorated with green-white-red enamel (like the Italian flag) has been realized by Visconti for celebrating the 150 years of Unity of Italy.

The Michelangelo 150th Unity of Italy is black only, with palladium plated trims.
Three colored enamelled lines decorate the central band, the grip and the bottom.
The collection includes the fountain pen, the classic roller, the rollergraphic and the ballpens.
The special box is decorated with a special illustration, made by the painter Mazzi.
