The miniature-sculptureTibaldi has graced the barrel of the pen with a threedimensional engraving inspired by a medal made in 1490 by Pier Jacopo Alari Bonacolsi, sculptor and goldsmith, with Hercules fighting with the Hydra. The original resides at the Museo Nazionale del Bargello in Florence. |
The cap top is engraved with an image in relief of Hercules, coated with translucent green enamel.
The clip reproduces the shape and the design of Hercule's club.
The clip ring is engraved with a three-dimensional relief image of the Temple of Hercules Victor in Rome.
The bicolor 18 Kt gold nib is carefully decored, as well as the roller's grip.
Piston filling system, like all Tibaldi pens; and like others, also this Tibaldi has been realized respecting the Divine Proportion rule.
A more precious version has been realized with solid gold instead of sterling silver.
The pen's details are in green pearly resin.
The red wooden box reproduces on the front cover the same subject hand painted on the cap.
