GIOVANNI DA VERRAZZANO

Giovanni da Verrazzano, the Florentine navigator and explorer who lived between the 15th and 16th centuries and who, backed by the French king Francis I, made a series of voyages to the Americas.
His fame is linked above all to his discovery of the site of present-day New York Harbor at the mouth of the Hudson River, on 17 April 1524.
To him, the City of New York has dedicated a bronze statue in Battery Park at the extreme southern tip of the island of Manhattan, and the magnificent Verrazzano Narrows Bridge.

Stipula has decided to honor the memory of this navigator, who marked the beginning of a centuries-old affiliation between Florence and New York, with a fountain pen in ultramarine blue celluloid that reflects the color of the ocean, with bright metal details, and a glowing crystal set at the cap top, symbol of the Pole Star, one of the most ancient aids to navigation.

The Giovanni da Verrazzano fountain pen was crafted in a limited edition of 1524 pieces, recalling the date of the discovery of New York's bay. Each pen is individually numbered.

The fountain pen is equipped with a special "pin" filling system featuring a piston mechanism that retracts into the barrel, and a two-tone 18K gold nib with rhodium plated tip. Available nib sizes: Extrafine (EF), Fine (F), Medium (M), Broad (B), 0.9 Italic, and 1.1 Italic, .

Giovanni da Verrazzano collection is almost sold out.
We're offering the very last pieces at this EXTRAORDINARY price.
