This pen honours the legendary Bruce Lee, a person who - through movies - embodied all that is noble in the martial arts; also opening the West to the disciplines of the East, and helping to establish martial arts movies outside of Hong Kong, a genre that remains globally popular 37 years after his death.

Honouring Bruce Lee (1940-1973), Montegrappa re-interpreted one of its most admired pen, the Dragon.
Bruce Lee in fact was known as the Dragon, having been born on the day and hour of the Dragon, in Chinese horoscope.

The Dragon holds special meaning in Chinese iconography. It became the Chinese national symbol in 1912 - the same year of Montegrappa foundation.
Montegrappa had already made a Dragon pen in 1995, for celebrating the meeting of two cultures, East and West, in a limited edizion of 1912 pieces, in black celluloid and silver: now absolutely sold out.

This new version of the Dragon, devoted to Bruce Lee, is made in a new color: red celluloid with black veins.
Its clip is different too, richly decored, and the dragon's tail winds along in a different design.
At the cap top, the immortal yin-yang symbol represents balance.
Cap and body of the pen are embraced by dragons, exquisitely carved in sterling silver, their eyes enlighted by two rubies.
The nib features the outline of Bruce Lee in his famouse move, foot and fist extended, suspended in air.
