Masai (or Maasai)
Maasai are an indigenous African ethnic group of semi-nomadic people located in Kenya and northern Tanzania.
Thy are pastoralist and their society is strongly patriarchal with elder men deciding most major matters for each Maasai group.
A full body of oral law covers many aspects of behaviour.
Nowadays the Masai people counts few persons (approx 150.000 in Tanzania, 220.000 in Kenya)
The pens
Gorgeous fountain pens, made with hand turned bars of special resin, in two colours: lightly pointed red cap, and maculated grey/brown body.
The colors of resin and of the small rings decorating the barrels recall the colorful cloaks and ornaments of Masai warriors. The flexible gold nib is personalized with a Masai head profile.

All the pens come in a special, multi-purpose box, made in african wood (wengè) that joins design innovation with natural materials and useful object.
The box becomes a pen stand or a photo frame with few easy movements.
